Wolf's Ridge Brewing (est. 2013) is a restaurant with a hidden tap room in the back alley. There's a diverse offering of styles, each with a different spin. The menu changes often, so you always have the opportunity to try something new. Every taster on the flight was another delightful sip of something new and different. The Buchenrauch was definitely the most interesting, as it took home the 2016 Gold Medal winner at the San Diego International Beer Competition in the Smoked Beer category. Untappd notes that it is "rich in flavors of campfire smoke and crusty bread." Yeah - it was smoky. WHEW. I had the Clear Sky Creamsicle, which was a unique variation on their award winning Clear Sky Cream Ale. Also, if a friend prefers wine, there are several styles to choose from - but I was too busy trying the beer to taste the wine. Maybe next time!
