A Cleveland staple, Great Lakes Brewing (est. 1986) is the oldest continuously running brewery in Ohio and by far out-produces any other brewery in the state - almost 5x the barrel production in 2015 than the next closet brewery. You find it in the heart of the city's Ohio City downtown neighborhood, with an expansive outdoor patio, large indoor restaurant, and a basement bar with tables. You'll also find a gift shop located at the back corner to pick up your favorite merchandise. Great Lakes has continuously provided excellent beer, and develops a wide variety of seasonal brews, including their famous Christmas Ale, Nosferatu Imperial Red Ale, and their Chillwave DIPA.
Great Lakes went through a brewery refresh in 2016, which included their packaging, tap handles, and artwork for all of their beers.
